What do you wear to bed?

What do you wear to bed? My significant other is comfortable with boxer shorts and tee while my nephew is at the stage of wearing nothing but his pants. My sister is a die hard fan of loose nighties.

Me? As one of Marilyn Monroe's hard core admirer, I was tempted to answer with "Why, Chanel no 5, of course."
But I did not. Because I don't.

However, my 8 hours of floating around in some sort of unidentified galaxy (not playing succubus, I hope) is sacred, so I take this question seriously. I have to take a shower before switching my body off and what I am wearing in bed counts. More than the importance of bed sheet thread counts.
Living in the island, where its heat can grill you at 32 degrees, flannel pajamas is a no go. I mostly wear washed out cotton tee and hot pants. Also, I love wearing socks when it gets cold (Bali from July to September can cool down to 23 degrees which is too cold for me). The aforementioned ensemble been working well until ELLE magazine stated clearly that a woman must have matching pajamas by the time they are 30! Technically, I am 5 years behind.

Now I am searching for these vintage cuties. I think they look effortlessly chic, sexy and comfy. And I cannot wait to sport them in the morning too while making coffee in the kitchen!

Socks and I - how we stick together no matter the weather

I am in a long relationship, but with no strings attached. With ... socks.
Truth: I sleep well with socks wrapping my feet to keep them warm till dawn breaks. I can sleep without- but not as heavenly sound as if I have them warming my toes .

How we met? We crossed path in Bandung- West Java ( my city of birth, and where lived for a few years to finish my bachelor study). Bandung's climate is much cooler than Jakarta and most areas in Java island, so I can say our hooking up was pretty predictable. It was natural. It was effortless.

To my surprise... the toe warmer continues its legacy to accompany me when I moved back to to Jakarta. And now that I live in a lush tropical island-Bali (in the afternoon, the weather can burn you alive with its roaring and sizzling 35 degrees Celsius), somehow... our mutual bond remains. Strange, right?

I treat them as my delicate. I use flowery scent softener and a lime scented detergent to wash them. That is the least I can do for they always make my 7 hours of resting so perfect and complete!

We know each others' moves, we are familiar with our morning perks. And we are planning to stick together for as long as we both shall live. In bed only. No strings attached.
And baby, If I happen to crash at your place one day ( too much of Gin Tonic, and unintentionally not bringing socks...) please offer me a fresh pair. I will be so happy to say yes to it.

ps: So when I read that one of my favorite blogger Joanna post this funny comic from  Lizzy Stewart , I can't help myself from laughing so hard!
Do you wear socks to bed too?

Scent before bed

I love a sweet and fresh smell of linens and bed sheets. When I used to share room with my sisters, they hate me for being so obnoxious about changing linens and bedsheets too often. Now I can do that anytime I want without a cringed face behind my back.
However, since I also realize that my habit is just a few milliliters away to become an OCD, I am taking it slow now. I change them once per week. The fresh smell may vanishes after the second day, so this linen spray comes in handy. An easy spritz on the pillows and blankets- 10 minutes before I hit the bed... Hmm...
I am liking this Vanilla and Tonka Bean Linen spray now. Lasts for quite a while it helps to relaxes my mind, and very affordable. Do you have this type of ritual bits too? Light aromatic candles before you go to sleep maybe? What is your favorite scent?
Good night everyone....
