Young Old Man

Was procrastinating my way to finishing one post and I stumble upon this picture. I paused, stare and now just stoked.
Can you see how much of a "young man's" eyes this old man has?. They are even downright "child-like"!
Then I read this description at the bottom.
Well. said.
 "The wrinkles on his face only made him look like an old man. In his eyes though, you could tell there was something there. A young essence screaming to get out. And it did. When he talked, it was not the wise words of an old man that spoke, but the curious tone of a boy just learning of the world." Emma Lu

ps: How long will you stay curious?

Inspiration Sunday: To be One

I am sure many of us here can easily mention names of inspiring people. Be it in your career, your love story or maybe in other things that may either be big or small in life. It can be about building your dreams, weight loss, or maybe in fighting serious illness. He or she can be a writer, a poet, an astronaut. They can be your parents or even a complete stranger. You may have met them, or follow them on social media (if the word stalking is too harsh), or collect their journals.
But, have you met someone who can look you in the eye and tell you  that you have become their inspiration?
You may look back, shook your head and say "Nah, I did not invent the penicillin, why would someone think of me an an idol or as an inspiring person?".

Think again.

I learn that we should not limit the meaning of a word. This includes the meaning to 'inspiration'. You may not have published an earth shattering book or produced a box office movie. But the way you face your daily life without complain and your positivity can be contagious and without you noticing, your friend sitting in the next cubicle will with or without her consciousness,  complain less. She may not realize it, but you inspire her. Your determination can affect your spouse, or your team. Your sense of gratitude may influence your child. That shade of your lipstick and blush that lightens up your smile can be a reason for someone to re arrange her make up kit. The way you rock a classic style, or maybe how you carefully select your play list can also be an inspiration.

Recently, I found that someone is starting to write because of me. Well, 2 people actually. One is a dear friend and the other one is a stranger who is a hidden reader (*grind).
I am inspired by other writers too. And I thank my wander mind because no matter how much I read, I still have this way of phrasing paragraphs in my very own style. And that's just a little thing. I hope I am also an inspiration to my dear siblings and family, or best friends too in other ways.

And there's never going to be a day where I would say "This is enough" to my list of inspiring people. Because I believe, the more you think of many, the bigger chance you can be one to somebody. Thank you sweethearts.

ps: Just a few names of my Inspiring People :)

Inspiration Sunday: The Long Brothers

The more I try to post more inspiring stories from random people- the more in need of inspiration I am. Instead of providing the story for readers in general, I actually am in thirst for it.
On a second there I was like; darn it maybe I should stop this and keep writing about fun stuffs only!  Simply because there are few things falling apart in my so called plan now and I almost call a quit on it... Indeed, practicing what you preach takes guts!
But then, I found this quote and this story below;

The good in good people

This sup to be posted on Inspiration Sunday. But, I cannot help it. Have you ever get sick of bad news and hearing how heartless people make moves?. This little story somehow can be a remedy. " The Good" is still out there ... You just have to open you eyes wide enough and be humble enough to appreciate little things, smallest act of kindness in live.

Taken in 2006, this is a photo of Chief Master Sergeant John Gebhardt in Iraq holding a child who had "received extensive gunshot injuries to her head while insurgents attacked her family killing both her parents and many of her siblings." The nurses said John is the only one who seems to calm her down, so John has spent the last four nights holding her while they both slept in that chair. "I got as much enjoyment out of it as the baby did. I reflected on my own family and life and thought about how lucky I have been.

Inspiration Sunday: Bridgette Jordan

The world have thousands of people who is living beyond their very own limitation, far from even the most bitter and darkest past and maybe background. They portray this amazing persona, making differences instead talking or orating speeches about it.
If you read their profile and their story behind every achievement, you will start to realize that the main reason why they can be so high on the top is not because they want to "conquer the world". All started with a burst of fire, on changing the idea of their very self
Just like this little story; The world's shortest living woman Bridgette Jordan, 22, from Sandoval, Illinois, works at a computer. She stands 2ft 3in (69cm) tall. Ms Jordan likes to stay active and often spends time dancing and cheer-leading. On her record-breaking achievement Ms Jordan said: "It feels awesome. It's great to be small. I believe that everyone should be confident in themselves."
ps: So, what's your excuse?

A real Mermaid

Nadya Vessey, is a competitive swimmer who's had both legs amputated due to a birth condition. On a one not  so ordinary day at the beach, she had a conversation with a child about, yea- Mermaid and somehow the idea sticks strong enough to inspire her action afterwards. Vessey quickly contacted Weta workshops, an award-winning design and manufacturing facility. Two years later, Weta developed a practical and beautiful mermaid tail specifically designed for Vessey. She hopes to use the tail in the swimming section of an upcoming triathlon.

Below is the scene happened on the day she met the little boy, from Vessey's own memory;
Vessey : "One day a little boy came up, he must have been about four and he saw me taking off my (prosthetic) legs and he started with the 'why' questions, you know, 'why haven't you got any legs', etc.
"And I said 'have you heard of The Little Mermaid and he said 'yes' and I said 'I'm a mermaid' and he got this look on his face and he said 'Wow that's cool!' and ran off to tell his dad.
"I'll have to turn up to that beach again sometime with my tail - just in case he's there."

ps:  Vessey is in her 50s :)
