La Luna

Have you seen this Pixar's short movie: La Luna?
It's so beautiful and endearing I wish they make a children's book out of it.

ps: My other fave Pixar's shorts: Partly Cloudy :)

UP's Love

The quote may seem too romantic for me but I am here to admit that I will always have a special place for Pixar's UP!

Paperman

How I adore short films! And I have an even softer spot for Pixar's. This one is from Disney tho', a romantic comedy set in New York. It made me smile at the very first minute out of its six. Being one old soul, the 1940's setting makes it even more endearing.
And, it has been nominated for Best Animated Short at the Oscars.

I am suggesting you to watch it. Good background music too!

ps: Thanking my favorite blogger and wishing all my sweethearts a sweet weekend:)

Pixar shorts!

Hi there! This has been a not so favorable day for me. So I decided to watch all of my Pixar Shorts collection whilst enjoying a cup of hot chocolate. Lalala. Are you a cartoon geek? I think I can like you if you are :)
Cars' Matter and the ghost-light  is one of my favorite. Please have a look on the video at the bottom.

Also... the new short film of Toy Story is also out; Small Fry . I have not found the link to download the full version yet though ... Help, anyone?

Pixar short films to the rescue

Is it just me or most of movie sequels are just...suck? Well, not entirely suck but at a general measurement- not as good as the first one. And by saying most; I simply have an opinion that some are really an exception to the rule. For example; The Toy Story. 1,2,3; ALL great. Also adore Cars (Pixar), Monster's Inc ( Pixar), Shrek ( Dream works), Ice Age (Dream works), Nemo ( yes, Pixar) etc..etc...

Whoa... wait, did I only mention cartoon movies up there? Specifically; Pixar! Ah yes dear, I am one cartoon movie aficionados. You name it, I can guarantee you I have seen it. I even have special folders in my laptop where I store all my fave cartoon movies- both the original and the short version ones. Freaky?
Maybe.... but; last weekend, I was on a plane flying back to Bali from a business trip in Singapore. And, since it was the last day of the ASEAN summit , many flights instructed to wanders up in the sky for hours before landing or in my case- to another airport! It was quite depressing. This couple next to me was with a 14 months old baby, they have tried anything possible to stop the baby from crying; feed, rock, stroll from one end to another. Nothing works. Then... I politely ask the mother if her baby by any chance will respond well to a cartoon movie. She was all eyeballing at me and and ; "Do you have that with you now? any cartoon movie! Whatever?"
And that is how my Pixar Short Films collection off  TO THE RESCUE! One baby down to laughter and fell asleep.
I did not have the heart to take a picture of the baby giggling over my treasure, but here's a  screen shot of my mood medicine.

For the Birds
Another thing; Romance movie does not get me to weep. But cartoon? Yes. If you are also a big weeper like me on cartoon movie, you may want to know why adults cry so easily in animated movies?  .

Incredible Feelings

I just heard something not so favorable and it kinda make me feel I have to get to knock off some people away... :))hahahahaha.... Well, I cannot do so at this stage or at whichever level and reasons anyhow so I chose to re-state clearly on my mind that I do not need to level down to a shallow minded being. I am incredible, and I deserve the things I attain. Small things exist to be celebrated- instead of categorized as irritating issues. Stay where you are, airheads... just like what you have been doing over the last 2 decades (literally)... :p

for those who are not a pixar's fan, the mask i wore in the pict is from the incredibles

Pixar's wisdom

I have seen most of Pixar's production. But their collections of short films? Top notch genius! The way they create something so entertaining, inspiring, rich with values and sum it up to a 5 minutes duration of movie is just amazing! Yes I am a big time cartoon/ animation movie aficionado. It runs in the family I guess. We keep that little child soul alive and we can torch it up whenever we want to.

This one is my favorite, "Partly Cloudy"  .What I versed from the movie is , sometimes, you cannot control what life offers you. But, it is the eagerness to gear up and to keep on going that counts and make life is worth the shot. Like this one cute stork; Peck, who enlivens the honorable attitude when he has to stand by Gus- a cloud character who keeps giving him "not so cuddly babies" for Peck to deliver.

Pixar short films , Jádore!

other people's life may seems like a walk in the park
whilst yours?...
there comes a time when you even wish for a lemon!
but you don't stumble. you don't give up. you just shake it off.
AND. you gear up.seriously
because you know you need to carry on...and because you can
