Of Mice and Men on Broadway!

Let me repeat: Of Mice and Men on Broadway!

I did regret the fact that I read the book tho because it made me... cry like a baby. Embarrassing. Steinbeck is not only an amazing author, but a man with a gold heart, witty, prudent and I am sure; the kind of person that is filled with discernment and foresight you would find hard to understand at first. They are all portrayed in all of his work, including in his letter to his son.

New York is in my bucket list, obvs. And tho I know I would not be there for this play, this kinda give me more reasons to go. Who knows what will be on the stage when I am there someday?

ps: Do not get me started with James Franco (heart)

Steinbeck, Monroe and The Beatles

I am still here in the land down under, Sydney precisely, and had a chance to visit a book-store nearby.... I found this book of his:)

Needless to say that I will have no problem killing my 5 hour flight back home next Wednesday.
Have you read it?

Of Mice and Men (sorry for the mirroring effect;p)
And... The best findings at this -almost not-noticeable bookstore in Brisbane;

All on sale (my total spending was not even up to 35AUD!)

Loving Friday: Don't let anyone make it small

John Steinbeck (writer of " Of Mice and Men") got a letter from his teenage son Thom. In the letter Thom confessed that he had fallen desperately in love with a girl named Susan at his boarding school. Steinbeck then wrote a heartfelt respond on the same day.

My favorite line from the letter :
First—if you are in love—that’s a good thing—that’s about the best thing that can happen to anyone. Don’t let anyone make it small or light to you.

ps: Are you in love? I will someday be following Steinbeck's advice wholeheartedly.
