This girl can

When I was sick last month, I had to press pause button on running for weeks! And it got me feeling annoyed, not energized, not charged up and all dread. I have been running for only two years but it is already a big part of me so the separation was downward unbearable.

To my surprise, the reunion was even more painful.

With guilt, I returned to my running regime with some serious game face. But boy was I wrong. I was pushing it by kicking the sands. Running at the beach is such a b*tch. Then, I did a fast 5K and sometimes 7K on a hot day! It was not okay. My calves were sore and my hips felt like they are being displaced. My skin was screaming for help.

Then someone special sent me this video. Now I realized that I cannot force it, just need to take it slow because the only thing I am competing against is my very self. If I am being too hard on myself, I would immediately feel incompetent and eventually give up. To the time I am posting this, I only do 10k per week by splitting them to 3 days of running. Not like I used to, but this is fine. As long as I do not stop, as long as I keep applying my SPF100 and as long as this song keeps on looping.

From London with Love

Never been a fan of this kid's Dad, the Brit midfielder, but I have to say... with a name like Romeo Beckham, it is impossible for one to not be charmer.

Good job, Burberry.

ps: My new trench scent.

Marilyn Monroe for Chanel No.5

It is pretty obvious. Not only that I collect her memorabilia, I even named my Lab 'Marilyn'. Can I also relate my Chanel fetish as a connection to her?

All in all, I both personally and professionally think this campaign is genius.

Text Can Wait-your safety cannot

Call me lame, fussy, stiff or whatever word that you find suits an irritating person on the passenger's seat like me. Yes, I will remind you to put on your seat belt, make sure you lock the doors and get you to check if we have enough fuel before going on the road.
And, please stop looking at your mobile phone, and texting while driving- or even when we are at the traffic light. We are only a few minutes away from our destination, and even though we are not, I am pretty sure the text was not about a life and death situation depending on your hand. It can only be about it if you keep doing that... texting and driving.

Being aware of your own and other people's safety should start now and it also means that you should not wait until an accident happen. And, not when I am in the passenger's seat. Thank you very much.
ps: When I stumble upon this amazing campaign,  I know I have to do my part to send the message out.

kudos to at&t  campaign

David Ogilvy-100 Years

I have always adore David Ogilvy . I actually have sent my resume to the representative office in Jakarta once. A few years ago... Wish me luck :) Hahaha...
So, this post is to honor a legacy, commemorating the 100 years of his life. Today, June 23rd.

David Ogilvy formed the agency that still bears his name in New York in 1948, and went on to produce memorable work for clients such as Lever Brothers, General Foods, and American Express. As a copywriter, Ogilvy was personally responsible for many of advertising’s most famously sophisticated campaigns. These include 'The man in the Hathaway Shirt', which introduced Baron George Wrangell with his aristocratic eye patch, and the series of advertisements for Schweppes featuring Commander Whitehead and the tagline 'The man from Schweppes is here'.
