I never get to sing this song without bursting my eyes out. If I talk about my love for Him, I could never be always right, as I fail Him in so many ways.
But my dear brothers and sisters in Christ, I would never boast His love for me enough...
Thank You for the cross, Lord. Thank You for the price You paid.
Cindy and I. We met at a party on my first year in Bali. A year-and a-half later, I joined the company Cindy is working at and our friendship gone stronger, even-though we are now working in a different place. She is a Cap too, with almost zero similarities with me in terms of love life. I adore her sweet soul and how she always believe in falling in love wholeheartedly, topsy turvy!
Chyntia. Almost like a sist. Been almost 10 years since we crossed path at JW Marriott Jakarta. One of the most strong-headed person I know in life. My first year in Bali was fun-filled with our sun-baking time, before she got married and move back to Jakarta. Her faith and spirit is contagious, chatty (which is why we fit because I am more of a quiet person. Trust me, I share more in writings than in real conversations!)
Aya. This was taken at the recent mock wedding video shooting last week. We do not really hang out but it was a job in Jakarta, back in 2005 that hitched us. We are now working in the same hotel again, laughing on our funny memories back then. She is now a mama of one toddler.
The past months been super tough, and honestly, I was waiting on something that could make at least one of my worries fade. There are things in life I have been carrying around, and no matter how strong I may appear, I can stumble too. So, feeling weary and worry, stressed out and tangled up... I walked home from work and I decided to just be with my mind and read a few
verses from the Bible.
You do not have to believe me but as soon as my heart says Amen, I got that call. With a news that's lifting me up so high it makes me want to cry!
I cannot really tell you what it is tho. But it is related with my family's future.
What I am sharing here is that... at one point, one junction, one cliff-edge; you will realize how vulnerable you are, how nothing but Grace can take you where you are today. At least, that's what I am feeling. I am gathering every bits of strength that I have left and giving them all for Him to restore.
I must admit that it has been a while and I am not proud of it. Church is one thing, but talking to You as a friend is one privilege I am not using as often as I should. How I have failed you and been trying to do everything on my own as if I can handle it without your grace.
I look back and all I see is Your amazing work in me. In one sinful and weak soul like me.
I am afraid that I do not thank You enough.
That I am not shining Your love through my actions and my words to all the people around me. Especially because I have all the chance to do so.
Thank you for your sweet reminder. Thank you for always... always taking my call.
I always love our heart to heart talk and I know that should come to you more often.
Just to talk and let you know that You still are and always be... my everything.
With my undying faith in Christ running through my thick North-Sumatran blood, I couldn't be anymore prouder to be part of the beauty of Balinese culture and its religious life.
