What are your regretable kitchen purchases?
My favorite illustrator Emily McDowell comes with another pressing question. And I never laughed this hard thinking how this resonates so true with me.
My list:
- Of course, a blender that has collected dust as thick as a rug. I bought them three years ago, mixed a guava and orange juice with it on the first night. And that's it.
- A microwave. A good one. But it seems that I was (am) so bad at math I did not realize that the voltage was just far too high for my small house. I re heated a rotisserie chicken in it once. And we are done.
- Different colors and patterns of tea towels. I have no idea where they are now.
- Food steamer. "For when you are feeling oriental and would like to serve your guests with dim sum or buns." Exhibit A: I do not have guests that often. Exhibit B: Dim Sum corner is literary in every corner in the island.
- A set of China. Which probably is somewhere in China.

Faux Pas I Made and Liked
How cheeky is this notebook?
Now let me ask, if you have this notebook and you have to fill them in, what do you think the content will be?
Oh I have plenty and many of them are a bit personal..haha. But here’s a few of my not so scandalous 'faux pas':
- Picked the wrong major in college. I love journalism and I knew it even when I was 10 years old. But I went for Economy instead. But without it, I would not meet my friends and would miss out on the crazy and fun experience of living in a house I rented with 3 other boys who still are my greatest friends. And that 'faux' did not stop me from doing things I like (and get paid at the same time)
- Dated and or kissed frogs. That’s what I call a douche with. But, maybe you have to kissed a hundreds of frogs before you get to kiss a prince?
- I bailed out on Yoga class last year. Though when seeing my friend doing her pretzel pose, I can be very envious, I have to admit that I am enjoying my extra sleeping hours even more.
- Bought a pair of shoes at the price of USD300. Oh wait, that was not a ‘faux pas’ ;)

A Writer's Snacks
At work, I am not a real big fan of snacking tho I love a big breakfast and big lunch while trying not to have big dinner at all times. When I write, I write better without food around me. A full tummy, a tall tumbler of coffee and some music. That's all I need.
For years... I always think that most people who write are accompanied with nothing different than those three.
So when I found this cute graphic, not only that I now realize how wrong I was, I am starting to wonder...
Will my writings be any different if I munch crackers or drink a different kind of beverage?
I have a box of weet-bix bites, bananas and cheese.
Let's see what they can bring to my ideas :)

Loving Friday: Racing Heart
Anyone in your life can do this to you? No? Are you sure? Try looking closer...
That person is probably just around the corner.
Or better yet; someone you have known for life... :)

Paris vs New York Book
So I shared this Paris vs New York posting last year. Today, a reliable source announced that the designer, Vahram Muratyan came out with a book this week!
Must have list? Ah, why is that even a question?
Check his website here for more lovely artwork- my other idea of eye candy ;)
