Awesome Monday: Awesome guests

Well hi there. Can you imagine what happened before they take the picture here? Did they enjoy tea and scones? What was the conversation like? Did Charlie entertain them with his witty wisdom? Or, perhaps... they watch one of his movie?

I am back, sweethearts! And hopefully,  my Awesome Monday still has its charm on you!

ps: My friend Anom posted a comment, reminding me that 15th April is actually the anniversary of Charlie Chaplin. What a coincidence! It has been a year since I first mention about Charlie on his 122th Anniversary .

Awesome Monday: Charlie Chaplin and Mahatma Gandhi

Welcome Monday! I bet you can easily tell who these people are in our Awesome Monday picture post. Interesting random facts about them; Mahatma Gandhi spoke English with an Irish accent, for one of his first teachers was an Irishman. Can you imagine?
And, Charlie Chaplin once entered a Charlie Chaplin look alike contest and did not make it. Ha! ( source: one of my all time fave light reading You are One Third Daffodil )

This is the last Monday in the month of January 2012 and today, I have to do one of the toughest thing for the first time this year. This year, I repeat. I have done some major, life altering, heart breaking decisions before ;).
Wish me luck. To become a character so great that you can change the world is never possible if you are not willing to do the very first step of changing your life. And I am about to do so.

And allow me to add that whatever it is  that I am doing in life is just a part of God's plan. To Him be the glory, man shall not boast.

(Today is  the anniversary of Gandhi's death 30 January 1948 (aged 78) New Delhi, Dominion of India)

Awesome Monday: Awesome People Hanging Out Together

I am officially a big fan of this page !
From now on, in a mission to make Monday less unattractive,  I will post one picture from the page and share a brief story about the awesome people. In this picture below, Marlon Brando shares a laugh with Charlie Chaplin during a break in the filming of A Countess from Hong Kong .
Fun fact about Marlon Brando; As he got older, he refused to memorize his lines and found creative ways to keep cue cards in appropriate lines of sight. For example, his lines were written on Kal-El's diaper in Superman (1978). As for Chaplin, I read that Chaplin once entered a "Charlie Chaplin Look Alike" contest and did not make it:)) How crazy is that?
See you later on our next Awesome Monday!

122 Years- Charlie Chaplin

"Life is a beautiful, magnificent thing, even to a jellyfish. ... The trouble is you won't fight. You've given up. But there's something just as inevitable as death. And that's life. Think of the power of the universe — turning the Earth, growing the trees. That's the same power within you — if you'll only have the courage and the will to use it"
Calvero's (Chaplin's character) answer to Terry's question: "What is there to fight for?" in Limelight (1952) '.
