Loving Friday: Revenge of The Lawn

I never read anything that is so hypnagogic, poignant and dreamy than this short story below. It is so hypnotizing it almost feel like it came out of a mad man's mind who is falling deep in a sickening love. And I mean it in a good way.
Now if you can tell me where to get this short story collection: Revenge of The Lawn ... I will adore you. I will so adore you.

Loving Friday: Magnificent Love

I have not been a good blogger, I know. Things are a bit topsy turvy and I am juggling more balls than I used to. A bit hard to believe that I am actually just posting for my regular features, and nothing more. All in all, a "pause" moment that I thought should not last this long... however,  it's just a phase I know I will get through. Please bear with me.
When everything seems blurry, one thing that I can hold on to is this powerful force that I can always turn into. Again, I have no intention to put God under anyone's throat. This is who I am, how I get through life's winding road and how I want to pillar my family someday in the future.
He is my magnificent friend, my God. And, without a pint of doubt- my Love.

Loving Friday: Don't let anyone make it small

John Steinbeck (writer of " Of Mice and Men") got a letter from his teenage son Thom. In the letter Thom confessed that he had fallen desperately in love with a girl named Susan at his boarding school. Steinbeck then wrote a heartfelt respond on the same day.

My favorite line from the letter :
First—if you are in love—that’s a good thing—that’s about the best thing that can happen to anyone. Don’t let anyone make it small or light to you.

ps: Are you in love? I will someday be following Steinbeck's advice wholeheartedly.

Loving Friday: Racing Heart

Anyone in your life can do this to you? No? Are you sure? Try looking closer...
That person is probably just around the corner.
Or better yet; someone you have known for life... :)

A brilliant campaign with a noble mission to make this ( excuse my french) tormented society starts to talk about real beauty. Wouldn't you love this boy?
Thank you for sharing, Like a Vagabond !

The (not so) crazy little thing called LOVE

I love how you can make me feel like I am the wisest lady there is in the world. I love how you make me feel gullible,  sick, confused and lost at the same time feeling like I can burst to shout; Eureka! I just love that.

I love how you can immerse your way to every inch and corner of all the holes and pores in my head. Playing with every single nerves there is. Tangle them, untangle. Then you go deeper within me... just to tear my heart apart, all inside and out just to make sure it's still there.

I love how you can have this eerie power in me. I love how you enable and elevate me at one point and how you strangle me the next minute. I love how people cannot live without you. I love that you empower those people to do even the craziest thing- things they cannot imagine doing be it in a dream, they do in reality. That is because of you.

You are as arrogant, as high demanding, as boastful as the king in H.C Andersen's story's "The Emperor's new plaid". You are as timid, as sensitive, as fragile as the lady in " Princess and the Pea" (Yes, also an Andersen's story) .

You are either an up or a down. An east or the west. Top or bottom.  You are never an average nor a mediocre. Never in the middle. You are twisted and manic and oh so hard to put up through ... You are solemn and humble and dignified. Even so... I still love you.

I love that you made me fly to cloud nine that day. That one moment in time. I still adore you when I hit rock bottom and shatter myself to pieces. I love that because of you.... I gather myself up again. Every broken strings, every scars, every  wound. I love that you healed me.

I love that you make me believe. In myself, in every single force there is on earth. I love that even when I did try to hide, you have your way of finding me. I love that when I need to be alone to understand you better, you let me.

I love that you give me a reason to be who I really am. I love that you leave it up to me. Not to you. I love that you... caught me off guard but you also let me take charge.

So this is also to make it clear between us. You are not the crazy one. How I see you, is.
But I would really love... If we can see each-other again someday. For real, Love.

ps: This is only my general idea about the word-without it being associated to anyone.

Loving Friday: Loving somebody forever

Couldn't find the source to give the credit to but I fancy this to every single bits and pieces. The sweet sender, my best friend of 15 years said that this reminds her of me!
Oh girl, how can I not love you back!
Hmm... wait, am I supposed to be not offended by:  "expects way too much?"

I need to excuse myself and make a call now.

Loving Friday: The foundation of any relationship

Now I have names of people that I am close to running through my head. While justifying one to another with the theory below... oh how I cannot describe it better myself! This is so true!
Is it including Love relationship? Hell ya!

Loving Friday: How often do you say " I Love You" ?

I say that often. I tend to overuse them in families, with my siblings and parents. This covers: facebook walls, tweet mentions, messenger and of course, blog! Saying it to their face, by phone, long conversation through running tears or in between a non stoppable laughter. I slip them love notes or song lyrics, I kiss them and shout it out loud as I whisked off. I yell it out over the window as the car moves. I hug tighter when I have to whisper the words. I say it often.  And I mean every bit of that.
And for as long as I live, I am going to keep reassuring them with that. Not only by being there for them, do things for them, be part of their life... But also by saying it as often as I could.
I love you, I do.

Not my weakness :)

Loving Friday: I cannot love you less

If you have someone in your life saying this to you, I say you are pretty lucky.
Me? I don't. I don't have one. I have a lot! Families, true friends, and of course my God. Lucky? No... I am blessed.
And I am going to say the exact same thing to you....

Loving Friday: "We accept the love we think we deserve"

As promised ladies...  On today' s Loving Friday , we will talk about  "We accept the love we think we deserve ". I read the quote in "The Perks of being a Wallflower" - a coming of age book by Stephen Chbosky . A quote that struck me at heart and deliver me to another affirmation.
Rather than phrasing a long paragraph... Why don't we have a look on these brief samples:

ps: I should warn you this can be a little knife-like. If you have a feeling you will not going to like what I am about to say, you can skip this page. But this is something that a woman should not keep quiet about and I hope this way is decent enough....

If you think it is alright for your partner to abuse you with his words, far worse... hit  you, lay his hands on you and make you feel you are not worth his respect, I have to use this chance to let you know that you are wrong.
You think that is how a relationship is supposed to be or that you deserve it. You do not.
I am sorry, and I know your pain. Let me know how I can be of help, because there is no shame in saying so.

If you let the relationship change you to become someone that you are not.... it is probably because you do not really know who you really are yet, so you get carried away and try to re assure that this is just a phase that you need to go through. It's okay, I have been there. But self exploring is something we owe to self and not anyone else. Keep walking.

I am nowhere near perfection but fitted enough to share because I speak by a bittersweet truth I have experienced from a thing or two out of the scenario above. With a massive courage, I also have to get through a severe pain before being able to save myself.  I know what I am worth. Know what I deserve.

Truth is, it took me a while to be able to gather myself and speak this up, with only one humble intention, I have to let you know  : No one... nothing... should stop you from getting the love that you deserve.

Too hard and too  impossible for you? I know, I probably will need to read this for myself if I ever be in a similar situation again. But, remember one more thing...

Loving Friday: The Love of Friends

This is our second Loving Friday . And as promised, it will be about Love. I just had the most intimate (too short of time) reunion with some of my friends last night. Friends from... elementary school! Yes. Elementary school. I cannot find the words to describe how fun the dinner was, how the laughter brought me to the sweetest, funniest reminisce. Of all other things in life... I think no one can ever survive without the love of friends... yes?

Loving Friday : What if it does?

So starting from now, every Friday I will post a quote or a short story on LOVE! Yay! In many alter shapes and forms. Not only in relationship but in general. A Universal love, if I may say? This is the first one.
