Artsy God

I think God is a bit of an artoholic.
Don't you think?

No Fear

How often do you talk about your fears? How often you do something about it?
Having no slightest intention to pry, especially because I can be the biggest wuss there is in most areas in life, I think I can share a thing or two.
I am afraid of commitment. Like very afraid. Like terrified to the bones afraid. Therefore I let someone in and mess my idea of independence by living with him and share my dreams, hopes and plans. Every single perks, every bits of ups and downs mess my idea of love and relationship.
How is it going to turn up? I am not sure, but I can assure you I am not that afraid anymore.
At least, it does not go to the bones for now, or crawl into my nerves like it used too :)

And oh, Merry Go Round freaks me out too. Maybe, I should go for a ride soon.

A Cup of Remedy

If you can fill this cup in, with whatever things that's going to make a rainy day has no gloomy effect, sooth your wrenching heart, put an off on our worries and ease your pain away? What will it be?
I can tell you mine.
Sea shells (colorful ones, full to the top), glass marbles in various sizes, Cabernet Sauvignon.
If you can put a handful of laughter in this cup too, please do so. A short conversation with my God. Black coffee. Gin tonic, water (and aspirin).
Also, passport size pictures of each of my family members from time to time.
Cute erasers. Yes, I love them. Pistachio ice cream mounting up.... A good song, fries, flower petals. And, did I say Sauvignon?

So yeah, I am planing to have at least one of the above. Need to feel better. Stat.
Any day....now.

What's in your cup?

Truth about Cats and Dogs

What are you? A cat or a dog person?
I certainly am a dog person. And this one cracks me up all right!

Troubled Waters

I ended 2012 being hospitalized. And to this day, the treatment is still going. Now I have to struggle to catch up with work, feeling mostly worry and confused and nervous. Oh how I wish for God's mercy and healing hands to work upon me.

Entering the 2nd week of 2013, a major flood hits Jakarta and soaked my family house in a 2 meter deep of water.
My Mom, my brother Isaac, sister Maharani and my grandma were evacuated at 3am, saving only our family dog. When Isaac got back there to check if he could save some more stuffs, the water has gone up to his chin. And he is 185cm tall.
And we start calculating. The financial lost this flood has caused.
Did it break our hearts? Sure it does. But deep inside my heart I know that we will get through this.
I have little to say to the government, but I have so many things to do to make this just a bit easier. Arrange helpers to pay to clean and fix whichever material that can be fixed, send support to those who have actually lost a family member over this flood tragedy. Yes there are few.

With so many things scattering my brain cells inside my spinning head, I m wishing for a smoother lane in the coming days ahead...

Proverbs 31 on My Birthday

For a solid roof on top of my head. For the continuous chance to be a blessing channel, no matter how small or big. I thank You.

For my beloved, and a friend at once.
Families and friends. Lost, and found.
I thank You.

Tears burst. Laughter's cherished. I, Your child... am thanking You.
Improving health and a restoration of faith.
I forever am thanking You.

ps: Been great with you 32. And now 33, allow me to learn more and more to become the woman God wants me to be...

Books: Checked and Hated

I have had my fair share in sharing about books I like. Today, with an intention to be a bit ballsy, I am going to talk about ones I do not like.

Before buying a copy, I would usually do a small research. Honestly, the more people talk about it, the more reluctant I am. I tried to read the first edition of these 2 series below. Meyer's book, I looked it up online and (ahem)... Let's just say that It did not entertain me at first, and I have no interest to read it thoroughly.
I love lines that get me mixed up feelings. I adore paragraphs that get me to think differently if I read it over and over again. There's nothing like that in there.

As for the Grey saga. A sweet friend lent it to me last week, when I was hospitalized. I really love her sweet gestures but that should never make me feel the importance to sugarcoat on how I feel about the book... haha!
I will return it on Monday with a note that I know will make her laugh "If I want porn, I would just watch it"

So, without any slightest meaning to offend the enermous fans out there (and especially, not the authors!), I hereby declare that I do not like these...

Steal much?

Just wondering. If you found someone (not a friend, not families and or acquaintances, but a stranger) inspired by your writing, and he or she is starting to do a blog because of you... Will you feel proud? I so would.

But. Here's another question. What if you notice that this particular person, in some ways... is also copying your style? Maybe not the content thoroughly, but subjects, tweaks, even opinions?

Oh dear.

ps: No. Not one of my lovely listed readers here.
